Don't Let Your Maintenance Budget Disappear in December

Use it or lose it: year-end maintenance budget deadline December 31, Delta Ducon spare parts, rotary valves and rebuilds for 2027 uptime

Believe it or not, the end of the year is right around the corner, and so is the deadline on your maintenance budget.

Every December, the same thing happens in plants across the country. Unspent maintenance dollars quietly disappear. Then January shows up with a failed rotary valve and no budget left to fix it.

If you have money left in your 2026 maintenance budget, the smart move is to put it where it buys uptime in 2027.

Five Places Your Leftover Budget Buys 2027 Uptime

1. Critical spare parts

The cheapest downtime is the downtime you never have. Get critical spares on your shelf before you need them, not on order after a failure. When a rotor, shoe or seal wears out, a part in stock means hours of downtime instead of weeks.

2. Extreme Rotary Valves

Standard rotary valves don't last long in abrasive service. Our Extreme Rotary Valves are built for the materials that chew through them, with a cast P-33 alloy rotor and inlet wear shoe and field-adjustable rotor-to-shoe clearance, so crews can restore tight clearance on site.

3. PERMA/flo Pipe and Elbows

Elbows are where abrasive material does its worst damage. PERMA/flo pipe and elbows are cast solid and abrasion resistant up to 500 BHN, so they outlast fabricated pipe in the wear points of your conveying line.

4. KG Diverter Valves

A diverter that sticks or leaks sends material to the wrong place or shuts a line down. KG Diverter Valves deliver reliable switching in demanding conveying lines, with abrasion-resistant cast bodies and air-cylinder actuation.

5. Rebuilds

Not every worn valve needs to be replaced. A rebuild brings existing equipment back to spec for a fraction of replacement cost, which makes it one of the best uses of a budget that has to be spent by December 31.

Why Delta Ducon

We've been doing this since 1921, with more than 1,000 installations handling cement, fly ash, lime, sand and other materials that punish equipment.

Our pneumatic conveying technology handles high-abrasive materials in both dilute and dense phase, which many suppliers can't. That's why plants in cement, steel, power, building products and pulp and paper rely on us for the components that wear out fastest.
