Delta Ducon Spotlighted at PEMA 2026 Fall Meeting
Delta Ducon Featured as a Member Profile at the PEMA 2026 Fall Meeting

At the Process Equipment Manufacturers' Association (PEMA) 2026 Fall Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, Delta Ducon was selected for a member profile presentation. It was a chance to show fellow equipment manufacturers who we are, what we build, and the people behind our pneumatic conveying systems.
For customers in cement, mining, steel and other heavy industries, here is a recap of what we shared.
Who Is Delta Ducon?
Delta Ducon designs and builds pneumatic conveying systems and equipment for the toughest industrial environments. Our goal is simple: better system performance, less maintenance and wear, and a smaller environmental footprint.
We are a North American manufacturer with a footprint built to support customers quickly:
Global headquarters in Malvern, PA, about 40 miles west of Philadelphia, with warehouse and light assembly
Additional manufacturing and warehousing at a new facility in Pottstown and in the Hershey/Harrisburg area
USA-based foundries for our cast products
A Canadian sales and engineering office
A North American network of manufacturers' sales reps, roughly 50 people in the field
Complete Pneumatic Conveying Systems for Heavy Industry
We offer the full range of pneumatic conveying technology, sized for high or low tonnages over short or long distances:
Dilute phase pressure systems
Dilute phase vacuum systems
Dense and semi-dense phase systems for high capacity and long-distance conveying
Truck and railcar unloading systems and truck load-out systems
Baghouses for dust collection
Advanced injection technology, including the SPLIT/flo proportioner ("splitter") and ROTOfeed and ROTOscrew feeders for continuous feed into furnaces, kilns and boilers through our partnership with Clyde
Markets we serve
Cement, mining and minerals processing sit at the top of our list. Moving abrasive materials like cement, kiln dust and raw meal is exactly where rugged, easy-to-maintain equipment pays off. We also serve:
Steel, metals and foundry
Building products: roofing shingles, floor and ceiling tiles, drywall and gypsum, fiberglass, grouts and sealants
Power and utility: coal, biomass and waste-to-energy
Pulp and paper
Chemical and petrochemical
General industrial
Engineered Components Built to Fight Wear
Abrasion is the enemy of every pneumatic conveying system. Our proprietary components are cast from P-33 abrasion-resistant alloy and designed so maintenance crews can keep them running.
Component | Sizes | What sets it apart |
PERMA/flo Extreme Rotary Valve | 6" to 24" | Cast P-33 alloy closed-end rotor and inlet wear shoe, field-adjustable rotor-to-shoe clearance, heavy cast iron housing, outboard bearings, heavy-duty shaft |
KG Diverter Valve | 3" to 12" | Cast P-33 alloy or cast iron body; stainless, duplex or AR steel gate; air cylinder with limit switches and solenoid; ANSI-drilled flanges |
PERMA/flo Pipe & Elbows | 2" to 12" | Cast P-33 alloy; integral wear back (IWB) or removable wear back (RWB) elbows; coupled or flanged connections |
The field-adjustable clearance on the Extreme Rotary Valve matters in cement plants. As the rotor and shoe wear, crews can restore tight clearance on site instead of pulling the valve for a rebuild.
SPIRA/flo Pipe and Our New Test Loop
SPIRA/flo pipe uses a pressed groove that forms a "hill and valley" pattern inside the line. That pattern keeps pellets off the pipe wall, which prevents the friction that causes problems in pellet conveying:
No angel hair or streamers: stops long plastic filaments before they form
Less dusting and fines: protects product purity and cuts waste
No build-up: minimizes "fish eyes" and skinning from stagnant material
SPIRA/flo is available from 2" to 12", in tube and pipe from 10 gauge to Schedule 80, in aluminum, stainless and specialty alloys, with custom bends to suit each job.
To prove it out, we built a new SPIRA/flo test loop: two separate 3" aluminum tubing lines running parallel to each other, so performance can be compared side by side.
The People Behind the Equipment
Matt DelPizzo, Vice President of Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Business Development, brings 30 years of industry experience. He started at Delta Ducon in 1997 in quality control and quality assurance. He then spent five years as an independent sales rep before returning as aftermarket manager and later sales and business development manager.
That path from the shop floor to the field to leadership shapes how we work. We know the equipment, and we know what customers need from it after startup.
Matt also shared a few things you might not expect. He started out as a culinary major who wanted to be a chef, though he says he really dislikes cooking (others say he is half decent at it). And in the late 1990s and early 2000s, he was a bar and nightclub DJ in the Philadelphia area.
Outside the plant, our team stays connected through a summer luau and cornhole tournament, Topgolf outings, happy hours, and plant tours. We also sponsor a team member's race team, which has set land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats and at Loring AFB in Limestone, Maine.
Talk to Us About Your Pneumatic Conveying System
Whether you are moving cement, fly ash, minerals or plastic pellets, Delta Ducon builds pneumatic conveying systems that last and are easy to maintain. If wear, downtime or capacity limits are costing you, our engineers can help you find the fix.
Contact Delta Ducon to discuss your system, or ask about upgrading to PERMA/flo wear-resistant components.
Thank you to PEMA for the opportunity to share our story at the 2026 Fall Meeting. View the full member profile presentation.
